The Exchange Team announced today that they have released the spring quarter Exchange updates.
- Exchange 2016 Cumulative Update 1
- Exchange 2013 Cumulative Update 12
- Exchange 2010 SP3 Update Rollup 13
- Exchange 2007 SP3 Update Rollup 19
Based on the announcement by Microsoft, it appears that the Exchange 2016 Cumulative Update 1 will make changes to the AD Schema, but the Exchange 2013 Cumulative Update 12 will not, however it may add RBAC definitions to your current environment.
It should also be noted that Exchange 2016 CU1 and Exchange 2013 CU12 are not removable. This means you can’t roll back to before the update was installed. It’s good to always try and install these updates in a test environment before deploying to a production environment. This helps you plan the update and find any issues that may be caused by the update.
